The Essex-based, Rotary Club of Clacton-On-Sea is hosting a Charity Golf day on Thursday, 30th May to raise vital funds for the Essex & Hertfordshire Air Ambulance Service. The Rotary Club members have organised a fantastic day of golf, dining and entertainment, generously sponsored by Silverton Aggregates, to support a hugely important charity which serves the Essex and Hertfordshire area.
The venue for the event is a stunning 18-hole golf course at the Clacton Golf Club where the Rotarians meet regularly. The agenda for the day not only includes a round of golf but also putting and ‘beat the pro’ competitions, raffle prizes, hospitality, dinner and entertainment in the clubhouse and cash prizes for first, second and third place winners.
The Essex & Herts Air Ambulance (EHAAT)is a truly life-saving charity that relies strongly upon the generosity and goodwill of people and businesses like the Rotary club to remain operational. EHAAT is a registered charity – not part of the NHS – and receives limited government funding, which means it can only exist with the support of people in the Essex and Hertfordshire area.
Bob Baggalley, Honorary Secretary of Clacton-on-Sea Golf Club, says: ‘’We are really looking forward to hosting a Charity Golf Day in aid of the Essex and Herts Air Ambulance. They work extremely hard to provide our local area with the safety net of a high-speed, proficient medical service that really does save lives. The event also gives us the opportunity to come together and enjoying a wonderful day of golf and entertainment. Pro or not, you are guaranteed to have fun!’’
With an opportunity to win great cash prizes and measure your golfing skills against a professional, the Rotary Club of Clacton Jubilee Charity Golf day is not to be missed. If you would like to take part, book your space today by registering your team on Eventbrite here >>
