Colchester Enterprise Agency Looks to Recruit Two New Directors

The Colchester Business Enterprise Agency (Colbea) is inviting applications for two new Non-Executive Directors to support its mission as a catalyst for business success across Essex. This is a great opportunity for those who have a passion for growing businesses and want to play a key role in building on the economic success of the region.

Colbea was founded in Colchester in 1982 as a not-for-profit business support agency and operates two Colchester business incubation centres alongside the delivery of training, mentoring and business support for new and young businesses. Colbea’s board is responsible for the strategic development of the organisation, policy setting and decision making to enable the organisation to serve the Essex business community.

The Board of Directors meets quarterly, alternating with virtual and face-to-face meetings throughout the year.

Colbea Chair Sara Thakkar says, “We are looking for candidates with the ability to think strategically and those who can contribute to strategic change with a commitment to equality, diversity and inclusion and enthusiasm for acting as an ambassador externally and within the organisation.

“This is a great opportunity for those who have a passion for entrepreneurship, and who want to contribute to a dynamic and values-led organisation. We welcome applicants from across the region, and from those who can support our vision and strategy.”

A Board recruitment pack can be downloaded from Colbea’s website: https://colbea.co.uk/about-us/#Vacancies.  Interested individuals should submit an up-to-date CV and covering letter explaining why you are interested in this role and how you could support Colbea’s strategy.

All applications should be submitted by 28 March 2022 and sent to sthakkar@colbea.co.uk.
