Essex based company welcomes Rayleigh MP

Rayleigh MP, the Rt Hon Mark Francois, has visited Rawreth-based business Tube Tech International (TTIL) to take a tour and meet the team after hearing about the company’s unprecedented international success.

As it celebrates its 30th year in business, fouling removal specialist TTIL has opened bases in the USA and Malaysia, won contracts in every region of the world and secured multi-million-pound research and development funding to develop world-class engineering solutions for the petrochemical industry. Managing Director Jon Camp has won two Institute of Director (IoD) Awards and has been shortlisted for an international petrochemical award in recognition of his contribution to the business.

During the visit, during which Mr Francois toured the company’s new offices and workshops, the team discussed environmental challenges and the ways in which business needs to innovate and adapt to address climate change. R&D manager Derek Sumsion gave Mr Francois a first-look demonstration of TTIL’s Shell Side Jet technology, due to launch to the international petrochemical market in February 2020.

TTIL managing director Jon Camp said: “We are honoured that our local MP is not only taking such an interest in our business but that he took time from his busy schedule to spend the morning here. We had some lively discussions about business and politics, and he was genuinely interested in the business, our people and the work we are doing. It was a pleasure having him here, and we thank him for his time.”

Mr Francois commented: “My visit to Tube Tech this morning has been an absolute eye opener. Prior to today I had not appreciated that I had this internationally successful business on my doorstep.

“Tube Tech is winning awards for innovation and canny business sense, investing in positive environmental change. I am proud to have Tube Tech in my constituency and wish them all the best as they go from strength to strength.”
