Essex IoD Welcomes Two New Appointments

The Essex branch of the Institute of Directors (IoD) has announced two new appointments.  Paul Durrant has been promoted to serve as IoD Essex Vice-Chair after acting as an ambassador for four years, and Matthew Emerson joins a team of seven IoD ambassadors in Essex.

IoD ambassadors and Chairs give their time to ensure that IoD members in their county receive the support they need with opportunities to network with fellow members and keep up to date with economic changes.

The IoD Essex branch represents nearly six hundred directors and is a part of the East of England region, which also includes Cambridgeshire, Hertfordshire, Suffolk and Norfolk.

New Essex Vice- Chair Paul Durrant is a sales and entrepreneurship specialist, author and keynote speaker and is an adviser member of Enterprise Nation, where he was recently named as one of its top 50 advisers.

Matthew Emerson is the founder and managing director of Blackmore Four, an Essex-based business performance management consultancy. His experience includes senior roles at Credit Suisse, Barclays and UBS in the UK and Asia. Matthew also served for two years as a visiting lecturer at the University of Hertfordshire’s Business School.

IoD Essex Chair Alison Shadrack commented: “I am delighted to have Paul as my Vice-Chair and to welcome Matthew to the Essex ambassador team. They both have a wealth of valuable knowledge and experience, which I know they will share for the benefit of the business community in Essex.”
