Partnership enables a new Colchester business hub for Institute of Directors members

The Institute of Directors (IoD) in the East of England has partnered with Colbea (Colchester Business Enterprise Agency) to provide two Colchester business hubs for IoD members.

The move comes as businesses prepare for a return to face-to-face meetings aligned with the Government’s roadmap out of lockdown, and where many are considering options for more flexible and agile work and meeting space.

Biplab Rakshi, Chair of the IoD in the East of England explains, “Even before the pandemic, it was our intention to partner with organisations to establish a network of local business hubs for our members across the region.

Colbea not only has great workspace facilities in two prime Colchester locations, but is a valuable resource for our members to access everything from training to meeting and conference facilities. We hope this Colchester hub will encourage our members to meet up for business and networking in Colchester.”

Ashleigh Seymour-Rutherford, Colbea Chief Executive said, “As a catalyst for business success across Essex, Colbea has much more to offer to the wider business community than many people realise, and we are justifiably proud of our two Colchester business centres, which were designed to enable business success in Colchester.

“We look forward to welcoming IoD members to make use of our newly refurbished workspace and meeting rooms and connect them with our small business tenants to bring mentoring and industry experience.”

IoD members can pre-book free workspace, with free parking and wi-fi and discounted rates on meeting and conference room hire at the North Colchester and Central Colchester Business Centres.
