Essex road-trip ranked UK 6th

Experts at Moneybarn, have carried out a study to reveal the best road trips in the U.K, giving an overall road trip score.
Essex features in the final list with Epping Forest ranked 6th overall in the study, with a road trip score of 5.54/10. The road trip also ranked 21st for tourist attractions, 8th for sunlight hours and 25th for road safety!
The study looked at factors including:
- The top forty driving routes and reviews on TripAdvisor
- Accident data
- Social media statistics
- Sunlight hour
- Tourist attractions
The Jurassic Coast hit the top spot overall making it the best road trip in the UK! The North Coast 500 followed closely behind, with a 7.68 road trip score. The popular Welsh road-trip of Horshoe Pass ranked in third place overall too, with a road trip score of 6.07.

Two of the top five road trips are Scottish, with the North Coast 500 ranking second place (7.68) and the Road to the Isles (5.6) ranking fifth. Wales and Cumbria also featured in the top five with Horseshoe Pass (6.07) ranking third and Wynrose Pass ranking fourth (5.89).
