Two Point Zero IT, based in Ipswich, are celebrating the news that one of their Directing team, Billy Brundle, has reached the East of England finals of the FSB Awards 2020. Nominated in the ‘Young Entrepreneur of the Year’ category.
Two Point Zero began trading in 2015 – launched by Billy and his colleague Alex Chapman from the living room of Alex house. Their aim was to create an IT company with integrity, business focus and generally break the stereotypical mould of IT companies.
Within 6 months the duo had move to a managed office in Epsilon House, Ipswich. Within a year they had grown from 2 to 5 employees and moved again, this time to larger premises in the Masterlord building. At the end of last year, now with a team of 7, they made their third move to self-contained premises on the Masterlord Estate.
“I am very proud to have reached the regional finals of this prestigious competition” Billy commented.
“IT is a very fast grown market and highly competitive; there are very few young people leading IT companies and I really wanted to bring some enthusiasm and a more approachable style to what is often considered a ‘boring’ industry”.
Billy is very keen to give other young people the opportunity to grow within all areas of the IT Industry and is instrumental in mentoring the apprentices that TwoPointZero IT have taken on (75% of the current staff joined the business as an apprentice).
Recently the business has started to look at tenders as the next area of expansion, having successfully worked for a national client to fit out their latest regional showrooms in Colchester and Cambridge. The infrastructure and processes put in place to make this happen have created the blueprint for further national projects.
The Area finals will be held at Newmarket Race Course on Friday 27th March with winners of the regional competitions heading for the UK finals in London on 21st May.
