Double Award Recognition for Provide Community

Essex-based Health and social care organisation Provide Community has been shortlisted in two categories in the 2022 Essex Countywide Business Awards, sponsored by Essex County Council.

The Community Award (Private Sector) recognises organisations who have gone above and beyond in making a positive community contribution. As an employee-owned Community Interest Company (CIC), Provide Community’s submission detailed how the organisation invests surpluses back into services and supporting the communities it serves. In the last 11 years, Provide Community has given more than £3.5 million to local charities, causes and community groups in grants, donations and match funding.

The submission also highlighted Provide volunteer programmes, investment in innovation and community health initiatives including the Essex Wellbeing Service.

In a second award, Provide Community Group Chief Executive Mark Heasman has been shortlisted for Essex Countywide Business Awards Business Person of the Year.

On learning of the shortlisted entries, Mark commented: “I am personally very humbled to have been nominated, and exceptionally proud that Provide has been recognised in two award categories.

“Our Provide Community colleagues works tirelessly every day to support the health and wellbeing of our patients, and to make a difference to the communities we serve. The Community Award is in recognition of their contribution and commitment to our values of care, innovation and compassion.

“I would like to wish all the finalists the very best of luck.”

2022 Essex Countywide Business Awards winners will be announced at a black-tie dinner at Braxted Park on Friday, 21 October 2022.
