A Cambridgeshire wine specialist is partnering with Suffolk’s much loved award-winning restaurant, Tuddenham Mill, for a food and wine-lovers experience on Tuesday, 2nd April.
Guests will enjoy a stunning 3 course meal, carefully designed and chosen by Chef Patron Lee Bye. The food will be expertly paired with a selection of wines from local wine merchant, Anthony Byrne Fine Wines.
Guests will be welcomed with a wonderful glass of extra-dry Prosecco from producer Terredirau, perfectly accompanied by freshly made canapes from the award wining kitchen.
The delicious starter is White asparagus, smoked mussels and oyster leaf. It will be served with a golden Pinot Gris, Domaine St Remthe, from the South of France, which emits the perfect bouquet of spring about to flourish, perfect for the start of our exciting new season.
For the main course, the spotlight is on the Integer, Syrah Mourvedre Carignan, 12 Barrels. Packed full of smoky red fruit and freshly cracked peppercorns, this rustic wine will be the perfect accompaniment to the perfectly cooked Lamb saddle, BBQ’d shoulder, lovage and cimi di rapa.
To finish the evening, the Mill will be serving a Yorkshire Rhubarb, with vanilla caramel, which will be paired with a truly great glass of Apaltagua, Late Harvest Riesling, from Chile. The wine is a great accompaniment to the final meal of the evening, with a complex aroma, which is dominated by mature fruits, such as papaya.
